Who is responsible
SHADE is the trading name of Matthieu Renaudin, sole trader (SIREN 108 897 026). Contact: contact@shaderoutes.com.
No account, no tracking
SHADE, the website and the app, works without an account and without analytics cookies. Visits are counted with no IP address and no identifier. There are no ads and no advertising trackers, and nothing is sold.
Your location
- The app only asks for the phone's location when you tap "my location" or start guidance, and only while you are using it.
- Your location is used to compute the route. It is only kept rounded to the nearest kilometre, with nothing that identifies you, to know where SHADE is used.
- The server's technical log keeps neither your location nor your full IP address.
If you create an account
Only your email address, your settings and your saved routes are kept, for as long as the account exists. Your password is never stored in plain text.
Where the data is
On Hetzner Online GmbH servers in Germany. It does not leave the European Union.
Services your device calls
To show the map and find a place, your device contacts third-party services directly, which receive the request as for any web page (including the IP address):
- base maps and terrain: OpenFreeMap, Esri, OpenTopoMap, AWS Terrain Tiles;
- place search: Base Adresse Nationale (France), Photon / Komoot (worldwide).
Weather is requested by the SHADE server from Open-Meteo, with no data that identifies you.
If you organise a race or represent an institution
We may write to your professional address, published on your race or organisation page, to present our temperature reports. We keep your name, your role, that address and the history of our exchanges for three years after the last contact, or ten years for accounting records if you become a client. Every message lets you stop receiving anything (reply "stop" or use the unsubscribe link). You can ask for access, correction or erasure of this data at contact@shaderoutes.com.
Delete my account
In the app or on the website: "My account", then "Delete my account". Your account and everything in it (saved routes, preferences) are erased. If you cannot open the app, write to contact@shaderoutes.com from your account address: we delete it within one month.
Your rights
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from "My account", on the website and in the app. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by writing to contact@shaderoutes.com. A reply follows within one month. You may also contact the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
